2. Refund Policy for Software Development Services
2.1 Custom Software Development
Given the custom nature of software development services, refunds are handled as follows:
- Project Discovery Phase: If you decide to cancel the project during or after completion of the discovery phase but before development begins, we will refund 70% of the discovery phase payment. The remaining 30% covers our administrative costs, initial consultations, and resources allocated.
- Development Phase: Once development has begun, refunds are provided on a pro-rata basis for work not yet completed. Completed milestones and deliverables that have been approved are non-refundable.
- Project Completion: After the project is completed and final deliverables are accepted, no refunds will be issued.
2.2 Retainer Services
For monthly retainer services:
- Unused hours from a monthly retainer are non-refundable but may be rolled over to the following month, subject to the terms of your specific service agreement.
- Cancellation of retainer services requires 30 days' written notice. Any pre-paid amounts beyond the notice period will be refunded, less any hours used during that period.
2.3 Fixed-Price Services
For fixed-price services and packages:
- Cancellation before work begins: 90% refund
- Cancellation after work begins but before 25% completion: 50% refund
- Cancellation after 25% completion: No refund
3. Refund Policy for Digital Products
3.1 Software Products and Templates
For downloadable software products, templates, or digital resources:
- Due to the digital nature of these products, refunds are generally not provided after the product has been downloaded or access credentials have been provided.
- However, if you experience technical issues that prevent the proper functioning of the product, you may be eligible for a refund within 14 days of purchase if our technical support team cannot resolve the issue.
3.2 Subscription Services
For subscription-based services:
- Cancellation of subscription services can be done at any time, but refunds are only provided for the current billing period if cancelled within 7 days of the billing date.

If ByteHive Studio must cancel a project or service for any reason, you will receive a full refund for any prepaid amounts for services not yet rendered.
